Holder of a Master II in International Law and currently preparing for the entrance exam to the CRFPA. I offer my private tutoring services in Law. The main contribution of a private lesson does not lie only in learning but rather to identify the methodology and know exactly what teachers expect to see on your copies. My method is based mainly on listening and dialogue so that I can analyze the student's situation and therefore provide him with an adequate methodology.

International Law is a fast-growing area of law in an increasingly globalised world. Taught by the Founder and Director of the World Moot on International Law and Animal Rights, this class combines Public International Law theory with practice. It taught through traditional lessons imparting substantive legal knowledge and legal skills training, including in the form of mooting exercises. We also work on techniques and strategies for assessments, and, to test the student's knowledge, engage in exercises in the form of mock assessments (essays and problem questions) that are graded by the tutor. It encompasses areas of PIL such as International Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law, International Criminal Law, and International Law and Armed Conflict.

Difficile, nébuleux, obscur... le commentaire d’arrêt est un exercice dont la méthode est souvent mal comprise. Et pour cause ! Entre les conseils trop généraux (« Bah, il vous suffit d’étudier le sens, la valeur et la portée... » ; « Ce n’est ni de la paraphrase, ni une dissertation »), les attentes contradictoires des différents chargés de TD et les consignes loufoques de certains correcteurs (« Il faut que vous citiez l’arrêt une fois dans chaque sous-partie ! »), il n’est pas toujours simple de s’y retrouver... Maîtriser le commentaire d’arrêt est pourtant indispensable (il s’agit de l’exercice juridique par excellence) ! C’est pourquoi je propose de vous accompagner dans le cadre d’un cours-formation intégralement dédié à la méthodologie du commentaire. Cette formation (et le document qui vous sera envoyé après notre rencontre) compile de façon structurée l’ensemble des conseils que j’ai donnés à mes étudiants au cours de mes années d’enseignement ; l’idée est de démystifier chacune des étapes de l’exercice et de vous donner les clefs pour « systématiser » votre façon d’analyser une décision de justice. Ce cours-formation s’organise en 4 temps (compter 2 heures) : 1) Considérations générales (10 minutes). Une première partie est consacrée à une explication détaillée de la finalité d’un commentaire d’arrêt. On dit souvent que le but de l’exercice est d’expliciter le sens, la valeur et la portée d’une décision de justice. C’est inexact : il s’agit de la méthode et non de la finalité (c’est le « comment », pas le « pourquoi »). Bien comprendre la finalité et l’intérêt de l’exercice – qui sont trop rarement présentés aux étudiants – vous permettra de mieux appréhender les attentes de vos correcteurs. 2) Introduction du commentaire (1 heure). Dans ce deuxième temps, nous reviendrons ensemble sur l’introduction du commentaire d’arrêt (accroche/faits/procédure/moyens/problème de droit/solution). Dans ce cadre, l’objectif est de vous apporter – pour chacune des étapes de l’introduction – des conseils pratiques qui vous permettront de répondre au mieux aux exigences et de surmonter les difficultés qui peuvent apparaître à ce stade (« Comment trouver une bonne phrase d’accroche ? », « Comment trouver un bon problème de droit ? »). 3) Corps du commentaire (55 minutes). Cette troisième partie nous permettra d’évoquer l’élaboration du commentaire lui-même. Cette étape est souvent redoutée des étudiants (« Comment trouver les idées qui alimenteront mon commentaire ? », « Comment organiser mes idées afin de trouver un plan ? »). À ce stade, il ne faut pas avancer à vue, en espérant que les idées viennent d’elles-mêmes. Nous verrons que l’on peut structurer et systématiser l’analyse des décisions de justice afin de dégager le contenu de notre commentaire. 4) Divers (5 minutes). Dans un dernier temps (et avant de vous souhaiter beaucoup de réussite pour vos commentaires à venir !), je vous ferai part de mon expérience d’enseignant (mais surtout de correcteur) et vous livrerai mes derniers conseils et astuces afin de vous permettre de faire (encore plus) la différence.
